Our First Aid training courses set out to teach candidates the full range of lifesaving skills in an easy to follow format. Various different teaching methods are used to accommodate each individuals preferred learning style.
There is a hands on approach on all of the courses with a strong emphasis placed on linking the content to the individual workplace. Our aim is to ensure each candidate gains a much greater knowledge to deal with potential life threatening incidents The range of health & safety courses aim to make the working environment a safer place by equipping learners with new found knowledge.
The short classroom based courses are taught by experienced professionals who possess expert knowledge in the field that they are presenting. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 received Parliamentary approval in June 2005 and came into force on 1 October 2006. It is the sole piece of legislation for fire safety issues.
The main focus of the order is fire prevention. Fire certificates have been abolished and have no legal status. The local fire and rescue authority, the Health and Safety Executive, or other relevant local authority will remain the enforcing authority. Under the Reform Order, the 'responsible person' for the premises must carry out a fire risk assessment and nominate a sufficient number of competent persons (fire marshals) to assist in implementing the emergency procedures identified in the fire risk assessment. As a food handler it is essential that you are aware of the basic principles of food hygiene so you can ensure that the food you prepare remains safe for the consumer to eat.
